A Classic a Month reading challenge (2019)

Who here is always way behind when it comes to classics?

Personally, classics have always intimidated me for reason I don’t even know. So, for 2019 I decided to make the A Classic a Month reading challenge. There aren’t any rules. Each month you’ll pick a classic of your choice, and by the end of the year you’ll have read 12 classics. Of course you don’t have to read one every month it’s totally up to you.

Here’s a list of some classics:

  1. Omw i love classics 😍
I think I’m on my 3rd classic for this month 🙈.
If you’re finding it hard to get into classics, start with one of these favourites. Im sure you’ll love them.
    – Anne of Green Gables
    – A Little Princess
    – The Secret Garden
    – Black Beauty

  2. I love this idea! Because I’ve always wanted to read more classics too.

Daphne du Maurier’s My Cousin Rachel, 1984 by George Orwell and Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens have been on my TBR for a really long time. They’re the only classics I own but haven’t yet read so I might participate in this challenge for the first three months until I get some more!

  3. This sounds awesome! I’ve been reading less classics this year than ever… I used to really love exploring them! I might join in by consciously paying attention to the classics I already own and can read every month in 2019. But good luck to everyone who are really participating!!! ❤

  4. Very relatable…I have often felt slightly intimidated by classics. At the start of 2018 I set myself a target of reading 5 during the year, and I have only read 2, though I have really enjoyed them both. Definitely something to correct in 2019!

  5. Hallo, Hallo – this would rock my readerly life in [2019] as I’m trying to work on my Classics Club List yet I seem to like the motivation? In August, when I re-queued my list with tCC I was overjoyed – except then life set in and I had one heck of a Autumn/early Winter to where reading was sidelined.

I love how you broke this down to focusing on *one!* Classic per month (or more if you want) but at *least!* one Classic which for me, I think might actually work out really well! It would get me re-inspired and I’d set a rhythm of reading the Classics!!

Adding this challenge to my 2019 Reading Challenges!

    1. Aww I’m so glad you shared this with me! 💙 I don’t have experience when it comes to classics. I didn’t want to overwhelm myself so i decided that this was the best way to do it. I hope you enjoy the chalelnge throughout the year and i hope you find some new favorites! 😊💕
