1 – 5. Seraph of the End Manga by Takaya Yagami, Yamato Yamamoto. and Daisuke Furuya

Recently finished watching the anime on Netflix and the second season ended at the exact spot where I stopped the manga. It was a good refresher and so I continued from where I stopped and ended up binging 5 volumes of the manga. This is one of my favorite manga series! It just keeps getting more interesting and I’m in love with the art.

6. The Silence of Bones by June Hur

Easily one of my favorite books on this year! Unique and atmospheric in every way. So in love with this book. It was full of plot twists and such a great mystery to try and solve. Definitely a book I would recommend to everyone!

7. I’ll Be the One by Lyla Lee

The cutest book to ever exist! It did deal with some tough and important topics but there were so many cute moments and lots of Kpop references!

This review copy was optional but it sounded really intriguing and the cover just drew me straight in. It was different than I expected but I really enjoyed it!

10. The Promised Neverland Vol. 1 by Kaui Shirai & Posuka Demizu

This is my first physical manga! I’m so used to getting my manga volumes digitally and this was such a great experience! I really enjoyed this one. The art is really nice (and creepy at times). I wish there was more of the action in this one but since it’s the first volumes I get why. I’m really looking forward to reading the next ones!

11. Here at Dawn by Beau Taplin

I’ve loved the authors previous two poetry collections and so I was really excited about this one! Poetry is either a hit or miss with me but I can always count on his poetry books. You just always find yourself resonating with his words.

12. The Tea Dragon Tapestry by Katie O’Neill

Super cute as always! I’ve read 2 other Katie O’Neill’s books and I love them. The art is always wonderful and so colorful. The stories are heartwarming and make you feel really cozy.

13. If I Had Your Face by Frances Cha

Super interesting book! I’ve honestly never read anything like this. I don’t usually pick up adult books but I was just drawn to this one. All 4 women lead such different lives and it gives you a glimpse of what it’s like for them in their societies in South Korea. I just wish there had been a bit more depth to their characters but otherwise I really enjoyed this one (Review going up tomorrow!).

14. Wonder Woman: Tempest Tossed by Laurie Halse Anderson & Leila del Duca

I’ve read many of these graphic novels but this one spoke volumes! So much diversity and fighting for what’s right and the importance of justice. I’m just in awe with this one to be very honest.

15. Early Departures by Justin A. Reynolds

A new favorite! When I say Justin A. Reynolds is one of my favorite authors, I mean he’s one of my favorite authors. No questions asked. I went into this without really knowing what it was about aside from a few things and I’m just going to say that I loved it. I cried and I’m ending my day happy and sad all at the same time. Add this to your tbr please.

16. Miles Morales: Spider-Man by Jason Reynolds

I love Miles so so much! This book had little to no action and that was the biggest disappointment. But it focused so much on diversity, what life was like for Miles and his family, the choices that he had to make. I enjoyed a lot because of that.

Never got around to finishing Hunted By the Sky and The Hate U Give. So absolutely disappointed that I didn’t get to finish these two but in July they better be done! The Princess Will Save You is an arc I’m so excited to get to.
