One of those posts that I never thought I would write. You know, for someone who has always loved spooky and creepy things, I don’t know why it took me this long to get into horror. In a way, I’m not really upset by it. I believe we all discover things at the right time and horror happened to be something I discovered I loved about a year and a half ago. Would I have appreciated horror if I had found it sooner? I don’t know, but I’m happy with how it turned out regardless.
I’ve decided that every few months I’m going to write a post with all the horror movies I’ve seen since I last posted. Just to keep you in the loop as I continue my horror movie journey. Read on to see all the movies I’ve seen so far, along with a little of my thoughts!
I couldn’t pass up on the chance to write my thought about the new Netflix tv series, Wednesday! I’ll admit, when it comes to keeping up with new show releases I’m actually pretty bad at it. Shows in general. I definitely was not going to put off watching Wednesday. Plus, One of my favourite characters getting her own show and the show being directed by one of my favourite directors? Definitely not passing on that. No. Way.
This year has definitely been full of surprises. The one I’m talking about today is the fact that I started watching horror movies. It started with Midsommar and I’ve been watching a horror movie a day for the past week. I saw the trailer for Malignant in cinema a few months back and really wanted to see it. So what did I do? I saw it. Not a horror movie expert (obviously) but read on to know what I thought of James Wan’s latest.
I’m back with an unusual movie review this time around! I should mention that I don’t want horror. Like ever. So imagine my surprise when I decided to deliberately watch Midsommar? I feel like I could have started with something a bit less…weird? Scary? I don’t know but I wanted to see Florence Pugh in this because I just knew she would be amazing (she definitely delivered!). So what did I think about the movie overall? Read on to find out!
Guess who watched Black Widow today? Gosh I have so many thoughts on this amazing movie. Black widow went through multiple release date changes and as frustrating as that was, it was so worth the wait! Click on the read more button below to read my thoughts.
Welcome back to the blog! I just realized that I never shared my excitement for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier on here (oops), but I’ve come to remedy that. I watched the show with my siblings as every episode came out. Each episode made me so excited for the next one and I can safely say that I truly loved this show. Definitely worth the watch and I most definitely recommend. Read one to see what I thought!
I think you all know how much I loved reading Pride and Prejudice by now (You can read my review here). My love took me so far as to watch the movie on the very same day I finished the book. If there’s anything a book lover is worried about it’s that the movie won’t do the book justice. I knew how beloved the 2005 movie was to many Austen fans and I was hoping I would be one of them. This movie was exactly what I wanted and more!
Now, how excited do you think I was when I found out about this movie? Love and Monsters was one of my most anticipated movies from last year. I managed to finally see it this month, and let me tell you that I was not disappointed. This was such a fun movie and one that I loved a lot more than expected!
It’s the start of 2021 and my blog content for the year is starting to come together. With that being said I bring to you my mini reviews of the reboot Star Trek movies. Let me start by saying that I am totally new to the world of Star Trek. I watched the three movies over the course of three days in December and might I add that I am in love. I don’t really have enough thoughts for individual reviews so here are my mini thoughts on these movies.
Happy new year! Can anyone believe that the year is finally over? last year felt like the longest year ever and I’m just hoping this one will be a good one. On today’s post I’ll be sharing my top books of last year, movies and shows that got me through quarantine and the year as a whole, as well as some of my goals for the new year!
