I’m so excited to be sharing this with you all today. This was my first time joining The Reading Rush. The timing was never perfect for me before but here we are! This was such an amazing experience. I loved challenging myself and finding out how many books I could actually read in a week. I found some new favorites (that I can’t recommend enough), reread an old and forever favorite, and basically spent a lot of time screaming about all of these.
This show was my life! I recently found it on Netflix and started a rewatch with the siblings and saw a few posts on Twitter. After asking around about making a themed readathon, I went for it and here’s how you can join!
Welcome to the Kpop Readathon! This readathon was made by yours truly. I was bored and the idea got a lot of love from so many of you on Twitter (thank you for that!). You can find all the information on my Twitter here.
Do you ever make a list of books for the year that you just have to get to? I’ve made a list this year! I’m hoping this will keep my accountable and remind me to get to these. Some are backlist titles and others are new releases. Some of these I’ve put off reading for way too long and hopefully 2020 will be the year I pick them up. Continue reading for a look at my must read titles!
Okay, teenage me is thriving! On Twitter the other day it was announced that there would be a The Vampire Diaries themed readathon happening in June titles The Readathon Diaries (Click on that link to get all the details). I of course would never pass up a chance to join a readathon like this. There are three teams to choose from (Werewolves, Witches, and Vampires) and from the headline I think you know which team I chose. This came at the perfect time because my best friends and I decided to rewatch The Vampire Diaries together next month! Keep reading to see the book on my tbr for this readathon.
I’ve gone through great pains to make this post. I’ve been trying to come up with new content to spice up my blog and reading. This pandemic is slowly taking away my energy to blog and university hasn’t ended completely just yet. The amount of stress is real but I had to read an arc of a vampire book and ended up falling down the rabbit hole. I wasn’t one of the readers who grew up with Twilight but it has been of the series I’ve been wanting to read just out of curiosity. The only vampire books I’ve read have been Vampire Academy and some other books that aren’t predominantly about vampires but feature them. So this was a really fun challenge to put together! (even though I ended up reading a particular series).
Welcome to the Unapologetically Muslim Reading Challenge!
My favorite 2020 project yet! This has been in the making for some time now, and I’m finally ready to announce it. I’m dedicating my 2020 to reading more books by Muslim authors. I want to show my support for Muslim authors who do their best to bring us the representation we’ve been waiting for, and the representation that we feel proud of and to raise our voices in literature.
Due to popular demand I ended up making another readathon. This time it’s a blend between reading and BTS (yes you guessed it, the kpop group). I’m late in announcing it since we start tomorrow (oops) but here are the prompts and my TBR!
This readathon (like many others) has been in my head for some time now. I’ve never watched Game of Thrones but I’ve always wanted to read the books. So I created a GoT themed readathon. There is a group book which will be A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin. I’ll be explaining more as I go along.
If you’re interested in joining the readathon you can find more info, here. As well as the sign up page, here.

I discovered this amazing reading challenge a few weeks ago, and I knew I had to participate. For those who don’t know about this challenge you can find out more details from the lovely hosts Shealea, CW, Lily and Vicky.
I was aiming for the Philippine tarsier but I have so many books that I want to get to that I upped my level to the Indian Cobra! Which means I’m aiming to read 11 to 20 books. (will I regret my choices? only time will tell)
